Overlooking the harbour entrance to the east and wave ravaged promontory and towering cliffs of Sandsend Ness to the west.

You can stroll down the two piers and there are fish all year round for the keen fishermen to pit his wits against.

The Morningside is just over the road from the beach, at the top of the sloping cliff down which tarmac paths zig-zag to the sandy beach. For those not wishing to walk, the Cliff Lift down to the sands is less than 100 metres away.
